Beaverton is a town in Lamar County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 201, down from 226 in 2000.Beaverton is located at 33°55′58″N 88°1′13″W / 33.93278°N 88.02028°W / 33.93278; -88.02028.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 4.6 square miles, all land.The name Beaverton was first used by a man named Naylow Rodney in 1789 when he first encountered a large number of beavers at the site.
